Isn't that just like life? I'd done a bunch of photo quote de jour in advance and planned to use this one later this month. As most of you know, I expect the unexpected and smile at life's ironies. Today ended up being the perfect time to depict a thorny issue. Yesterday, in the humid 100 degree heat, I'd foolishly planned to take the train into the city to attend a Finnish documentary film festival and weirder than that sounds, couldn't find my car keys. After a frantic search, I realized it wasn't in the cards. Maybe I avoided some thorny disaster by not going. I'll never know, but I do know after I'd missed my train, I felt oddly calm and thought about having a nap in a bed of roses. The next time things are more thorny than petal soft, reconsider your options. Maybe the thorns are pointing you in another direction.
