Fairy Wings

Something glinted in the sun. The path to my house is a mix of flagstone, pea gravel and bits of organic matter. I bent down to take a closer look and gasped at the delicate wings shimmering gold and turquoise. The two hemispheres of my brain collided. My logical or left brain thought insect, dragonfly. My creative dreamy right brain thought fairy wings. In that magical moment it didn't matter which was correct.
