Three Years Blogging
Do you ever wake up and can't remember how you old you are? I'm still blinking over the fact that The Boomer Muse is three-years-old. Most blogs turn to dust in the first year. Some keep going like the Energizer bunny. I have no secret formula. Like Woody Allen always said, "80% of success is just showing up." It's easy to keep doing something you love. It helps having a face-life every so often like our fresh new look.
When this blog launched, I was thrilled to get 3,000 visitors a month. This was my first pre-view post blog.laylamorganwilde.com/2008/07/31/welcome.aspx href="http://blog.laylamorganwilde.com/2008/08/18/enlightenment-lite.aspx" target="" class=""> How sweet and naive. I had no clue about SEO or anything techie. I just wanted provide added insights to my life coaching clients and anyone else who stopped by.This is the first official post, several re-designs and over 1000 posts ago.

This summer we reached 30,000 visitors a month and I want to thank each and every one of you.
One of the reasons I keep doing this almost daily is the satisfaction of providing amusement, a smile, an insight or even a life-changing Aha moment. I love receiving comments and messages especially the legions of shy ones who email me.

What does the future hold? My crystal ball says," Interesting things".
The blog transitioned from seven days a week to six days a week when our sister site CatWisdom 101.com launched three months ago. Like many of you, I'm exploring different avenues of growth both inner and outer. I hope you'll come along for the ride. Until we meet again, have a spectacular day!

If you're not already a subscriber, I'd love you to subscribe today.. If you're new here (and even if you're not) I welcome you to play the random post game. Think of it as picking a tarot card for instant insight. Take a deep breath and let go of everything that doesn't serve you for a few seconds. Think of an issue you'd like to shed some light on. Then, scroll down the sidebar to the archives or categories and click on the first one that feels right. Read the post. You might be pleasantly surprised with what you find.
I tried it myself today. I hadn't done it in along time and it was like eating potato chips. You know you can't stop at one. It was a staggering realization that I'd taken every photograph and apart from some quotes, had written every word. I cringed at the errors and cheered at the triumphs. More often than not, I scratched my head, thinking, OMG, I did that? When did I write that? We race through life, not stopping often enough to acknowledge what we have accomplished. This is my day is bask in my accomplishment but it's also yours to enjoy.

Congratulations on three years of musing Layla! I've loved all your photos and thoughts both here and on Cat Wisdom. You have a wonderful way of capturing the spirit of life - and certainly of your cats as well. My cat Sam and I enjoy your visits to his Onespoiledcat blog too!
