Endings or Beginnings

Photo quote de jour

This is the image that inspired last week's theme of transition. It's an old stone warming hut by a pond where children skated a hundred years ago. The land used to be the private estate of  Henri Jacque Gaisman who invented Gillette safety razor, but now is a public nature reserve.  The pond still freezes but no one is allowed to skate there anymore.

Everything undergoes transition. The stone is mossy with age but intact. The juxtaposition of damp stone, wispy spider webs next to still fresh ferns spoke to me of different kinds of transition, but change none the less.
