Going Through The Mill
Photo quote de jour

I was thinking about the expression "going through the mill" lately. Millstones grind coarse wheat into flour. If you've been through the mill, life has ground you down to flour. It may be unpleasant at the time but in the end you get flour fluffy enough for donuts. Yeah, it's been that kind of week for me, but more than ever, I'm grateful for true blue friends and the wisdom the know when to separate the wheat from the chaff. How about you?

A beautifully written basic truth of friendship. Through tough and smooth times a friend helps hold the rudder of our lives to keep us on course. 8?)

So true. I like the rudder metaphor.

Sorry you had a rough week, but glad your friends were there to help you through. Coincidentally, I watched the movie version of "Night Of The Iguana" last night, and that's the very theme of the play.
