The Joy of Waiting
Yesterday was one of those perfect fall days: too warm to drive with the windows up but too cool for air-conditioning. Open windows equals easier photo ops and the best times often happen when waiting for the light to turn green. Inspiration or joy is more likely if you're not focused on impatience. My inspiration for patience came in the form of a dog happily waiting in today's photo quote de jour. The shot was worth waiting for. Nothing is ever worth fidgeting and fuming for as we wait for the green light.
At another red light, I ruffled my hair and peered into the mirror to assess my bad hair day. It was a private moment of vanity and the last thing I expected to hear was a man's reassuring voice say, "You look good." My head swiveled and caught the gaze of an attractive older man in the car beside me. What could I do but smile?

Wonderful post. I love how you always remind us that something seemingly negative can easily turn into something unexpectedly positive.

Ingrid, it's just about changing perspective. Being a huge cat lover, you'd never think I'd post a pic of a dog but you just never know.
