Real or Surreal?

Early on Saturday morning, I blinked twice, not believing my eyes. A startling blue sky greeted me with puffy clumps of snow on the trees. I raced out sleepy-eyed knowing it wouldn't last. As I stood under the trees, every few seconds another snow shower of snow clumps fell on me waking me up better than any cup of coffee. By noon, most of the cotton ball snow had disappeared leaving a vague memory. If I didn't have the photographic evidence, I might have thought it was a dream. Was it real or surreal?

That is SOO beautiful. I love lacey ice. And the fact that it disappeared. Such a wonderful metaphor.

Everything disappears eventually. Instead of stopping to smell the flowers, it was stop and smell the snow

Beautiful photos! But there's still something so disorienting about snow on leaves... talk about making you re-examine what's real and what isn't!

Thanks. Even more surreal is the snow is almost all gone and the brights leaves still on the trees! Normally by November they're all gone. No complaints though.
