Blogging For Peace
I'm blogging for peace today thanks to a movement called Blogblastforpeace.com

Bloggers all over the world are doing the same today and to celebrate I made these...

Dona nobis pacem is Latin for grant us peace. This is the Union Church of Pocantico Hills where I dropped by the other day. It's famous for their stained glass windows by Chagall and Matisse. http://www.ucph.org/
My favorite cemetery angel (that I visited the other day at the appropriately named Mount Hope Cemetery provided more inspiration. There are many peaceful places on this planet but even the best won't bring peace if we don't feel peace within. It begins and ends right where you are.

On my way home recently, I took a short cut down this road, took my foot off the brake and for a moment felt I could soar into the setting sun for a trifecta of peace, love and joy.

The unexpected snowstorm last week provided ample photo ops. The sharp contrast of snow against unseasonably green leaves gave me pause. Our beautiful planet needs peace on every level.
We can pray for peace, visualize peace but how about practicing peace? We can begin this instant by making loving choices and by loving ourselves. Peace will naturally follow.
