Rules Made to be Broken?

On a cold cloudy day reading this sign
at the Rockefeller State Park Reserve about no sunbathing or picnicking cracked me up. It got me thinking about other rules. They say whoever has the gold makes the rules. The park rules were made by the powers that be, the same ones who generously donated the land I derive much joy from. That said, next spring, I'm awfully tempted to bring a picnic lunch ( I promise not to leave a speck of litter). What rules do you feel are okay to break?

What would be in the picnic basket? I might suggest a small wicker basket, a bottle of Cakebread Chardonnay Estate Reserve, a loaf of Ciabata bread, slices of Italian black pepper salami, pieces of crispy southern fried chicken, a chunk of farmers cheese, a few black olives, and a few yellow banana peppers. Oh yes, glasses to drink the wine with, matching napkins and plates. Then to cap the day 2 pieces of dark Belgium chocolate to nibble while finishing the glass of wine. Now that would be worth breaking the rules for especially if it was with a loved one. It is a beautiful park. I look forward to hearing about your picnic. We will take ours into the mountains of Colorado.

Rules to break? I have to admit I think speed limits are just suggestions...maybe for my maiden great-aunt...

That's funny. Everyone seems to own a lead foot where I live.
