def the architecture has a looot to do with it. NYC always reminded me of Montreal, wheras boston did not. Montreal has a grid and NYC has a grid, but Boston has all these little streets knotted together. Montreal and NYC have a def city center with tallish and TALL skyscrapers, respectively.
