Love Week: Lighten Your Carbon Footprint

Quote de jour

"To know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived, that is to have succeeded."

~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Long before the word
repurposed became popular, I liked using re-cycled materials in home and office decor. They were often better quality and unique. This truck caught my eye in the city and I had to Google them. Smart marketers always keep a URL handy and visible, so seconds later I knew bignyc.org picked up and resold building materials slated for landfills and support environmental education. You can find anything from funky pedestal sinks, antique fireplaces to light fixtures, window, doors and more for less money. You can feel your carbon footprint lighten with every purchase. Everything old really can be new again.

This is my quirky way of kicking of "love week". It's Valentine's Day tomorrow but there are many ways to show love other than the Hallmark variety. And so many kinds of love. Today, it's about eco-love for our planet and showing love for the little guy. The small entrepreneur who has an idea and runs with it. I don't know these guys but I love what they're doing. I love sharing the love.
Do you know someone who deserves a shout-out? You can do it publicly like this, privately or anonymously. It's all good. Show some love this week.
